MOTHER'S DAY 2024
Now Christmas is out the way I like to think ahead and make plans for the brighter Spring days. One highlight of March is Mother's Day when we can celebrate either ourselves becoming mother's or indeed our own mother's. This year it falls on Sunday March 10th 2024 - so really quite early so never too early to get organised!
I've gathered together a few ideas below of local ways you can treat your mum or partner in and nearby Oxfordshire & the Cotswolds. They would be particularly special first mothers day gift ideas.
Many people struggle to think of idea's and want to avoid more physical items coming into the home (especially when trying to minimise or declutter from Christmas!) which is where experiences are such a brilliant choice. The memories and quality time spent together is just priceless.
DAY TRIP TO DAYLESFORD
We love having a little look around Daylesford in the Cotswolds and enjoying a spot of lunch or coffee. It's a truly beautiful destination with lots to inspire. To upgrade your trip you could book a workshop or a relaxing massage in the Bamford wellness spa or pop to their sister restaurants nearby - The Wild Rabbit. Really so many options all in one location.
MOTHER'S DAY MINI PHOTO SHOOT
Mums are all too often the ones taking the photographs and rarely in them themselves with their children. This year I am offering a two days Mother's Day mini photo shoot where you can make memories for the mother or grandmother in your life.
The Mother's Day mini photo shoot will last 45 minutes and includes a beautiful online viewing gallery, 5 heirloom digital photographs and matching Fine Art Prints for £135. The shoot is taking place on 24th February 2024 in Watlington.
This is truly one of the only gifts that grows in value over time as children grow & we have these memories to hold in our hands & look back on. So if you're looking for the best mother's day gift please get in touch to find out more and book!
BEAUTIFUL BLOOMS
Lastly I wanted to pop this on the list as in my opinion you can never go wrong with beautiful flowers. In Watlington we are extremely lucky to have several talented florists nearby. Or head over to The Undercroft at Watlington town hall to source beautiful stems from the Babylon nursery. Everything is sustainable and locally sourced which is so inspiring. They also stock stunning dried flowers which will have longevity and will be a lasting memory in the home all year. Then there is also Henriette of Plates & Blooms in Watlington who sells the most exquisite bouquets just along Watlington High Street - you can choose the stems yourself or allow her to build you a beautiful bouquet for your mum.
